Why We Built Thrive & Co. Marketing and Why We Built It for Monticello

Thrive & Co. Marketing didn’t start in a boardroom or with a big business plan.

It started with two local women, full-time careers, families, late nights, and a shared belief that small businesses in our community deserved better marketing, especially the kind that actually understands where they live, who they serve, and what matters here.

We built Thrive & Co. Marketing because we are small business owners. We know what it’s like to squeeze meetings in after work, answer emails during kids’ practices, and spend weekends trying to move the needle forward. We also know how overwhelming marketing can feel when you’re already doing everything else.

Monticello isn’t just where we work, it’s home.

It’s where our kids go to school. Where we attend games, events, fundraisers, and community nights. Where we run into clients at the grocery store or sit next to them at school programs. That connection changes how we approach marketing.

We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all strategies or outsourced work that doesn’t understand the rhythm of a small town. Marketing here is personal. Reputation matters. Community involvement matters. Trust matters.

Too many local businesses were being priced out of marketing, overwhelmed by it, or burned by companies that didn’t truly care about their success. Too many businesses were using AI Marketing from overseas. We knew there had to be a better option — one that was honest, flexible, and built for real small businesses.

So we created Thrive & Co. Marketing on a trip to Lafayette to meet businesses where they are. To offer support without pressure. To grow alongside the businesses we serve.

We’re proud of the work we do — but we’re just as proud of how we do it. Supporting local businesses, showing up for community events, and helping businesses tell their story in a way that feels authentic will always be at the core of Thrive & Co. Marketing.

We didn’t build this to be big. We built it to be meaningful.
